Wheels and Deals #4

I apologize for taking so long to post this.  Life sometimes gets into the way.

I really like yard saleing, and this was one of the best “shopping” days ever.  The weather was perfect and there were more people out selling stuff than you could shake a frame at.

There were 6 yard sales here within 2 blocks. A reqular Bonanza!

I may have mentioned it before but will again.  It’s an absolute blast when a bunch of bicyclists pull up at a yard sale.  We get such comments as, “Are you a gang?”  “What’s the name of your club?” and “My! All of Ya’ll are so sexy!”

On thing that made this ride so awesome was the fact that everyone scored some awesome deals.  But the winner of this  ride was Jeff.  A set of  4 oak chairs and a drawing table in the trailer.

Actually the real winner was everyone.  A fun time.  15 people on a ride that took just about 3 slow multi-stopping hours.

Want to see more?  Here you go.

Till later,

Jacque – Out

P.S. Is your calendar marked for the 24th?

  1. I thing I may have to leave the trailer at home next time. In addition to the chairs and drafting table, I scored an office chair, a pair of pants and a giant tent that I have no use for. And how could I forget the head form and furry hat that Nikki bought and made me take.

  2. This is such an awesome idea, I love it!

And I got that $5 clay bread pan for $0 just for promising [really, really] to use it, and oh yes, a mini moulie that I’ve wanted for 30 years for a $1. Patience pays. Happy, happy ride.

And my undying gratitude to fbc for like instantly coming up with the new pedals to replace the ones that gave up the ghost as we were tooling along on 17th.
