Day 9 – A Little Stretching Goes a Long Way

What a difference a day makes!

Following yesterday’s soreness upon initially mounting the bike and especially going up hills I decided to start the day by stretching.

Maybe not quite this much

I spent about 10-minutes warming up concentrating on the legs and doing a bit of upper body stretching.

It made a huge difference.  No soreness at all upon starting out and hills weren’t as bad as they were on days 7 and 8.

In fact, hills seem to be getting easier.   Of course, the easy hills may very well be attributed to the amount of beer I drank before I rode home.  We’ll see tomorrow.

Day 9 -13 miles in 1 hour 14 minutes at an average speed of 10mph max of 31.  So far? 81 miles in 7 hours and 40 minutes.

    Day 9 total miles for me is 124 miles. I did not keep track of the hours and minutes.

    Sweet! I know there’s at least a couple more out there riding with us but don’t know their mileage. I’ll post on John’s blog soon to see if there are any more of us out there.
