What a difference a day makes!
Following yesterday’s soreness upon initially mounting the bike and especially going up hills I decided to start the day by stretching.
I spent about 10-minutes warming up concentrating on the legs and doing a bit of upper body stretching.
It made a huge difference. No soreness at all upon starting out and hills weren’t as bad as they were on days 7 and 8.
In fact, hills seem to be getting easier. Of course, the easy hills may very well be attributed to the amount of beer I drank before I rode home. We’ll see tomorrow.
Day 9 -13 miles in 1 hour 14 minutes at an average speed of 10mph max of 31. So far? 81 miles in 7 hours and 40 minutes.
