That would be me right now. I’ve written my first ever letter to a State Representative. The text and reference is below:
Dear Representative McMorris-Rodgers,
I would like to encourage support of Sen. Claire McCaskill’s proposed legislation to cap compensation for employees of any company that accepts federal bailout money.
I can understand that a company may need support in these difficult times. What I believe to be unacceptable is funding going to pay bonuses to executives of a company that would have otherwise failed. As a small business co-owner the others and I have totally removed ourselves from payroll to enable our company to stay afloat and provide necessary employment.
A copy of this letter to you is posted on my high-traffic blog as well as in a letter to the editor of the Spokesman Review.
Thank you for supporting us.

If you too are fed up with that situation I encourage you to contact your legislator and let them know.
Till later,
