I (that’s me) love my family, friends, food, bicycles and beer.

I may grumble a bit, but it’s a pretty good life.  I ride my bike, hang with my friends and work just a little bit.

  3. I am so overjoyed to have found you and your wife BrightSpirit! All of my life I have waited for someone else to say what was in my heart and as I watched your wife on the Better Spokane show I was so excited I began to cry. She spoke of a community, a tribal community in which all were equal, all shared and no one had more than they needed or any other group member. She also spoke of dead foods vs healthy Earth foods and how Mother Earth has provided us with all of our necessary survival needs. My husband and I along with our three children are among the millions of homeless families within this country, we have no family but each other. We are not addicted to any substances, we do enjoy an occasional tobacco pipe or cigarette for spiritual ceremonies, and a beer or wine every now and then. I thought it wise to include that due to the stgma of homeless families being caused by addicted parents. We lived in a tent in Spokane from September of 08 to December of 08 an am now currently in the SNAP program in the Valley. We have until June to find a place of our own and as of today my husband is still unemployed and I am disabled. Our only income is that which comes from my SSI and Tanf which includes food stamps of 334.00 per month. We need help, not a hand out but rather a hand up, someone to show us, guide us in our quest for a dream that we never heard from someone else’s lips until your wife spoke what was in our heart and soul. Do you have a community? Is there such a place in which all work for the common good of the community? Is there any way that we may become part of it? Can we trade our services for the benefit of healthy food and medicinal options? We are hard working people, we are strong and driven, kind and compassionate and wish to bring honor to our home Mother Earth. We very much wish to go back in time to a day that all people, animals, and nature live in harmony with each other,t aking only what you need and sharing with all members to ensure that all members are taken care of. Our children, and our elderly. We do not have much money, we do not even own a vehicle but what we do possess is will power and the willingness to learn. Will you or can you help us?
    Thank you,
    Jim and Shelly Kenworthy
